I’m considering volunteering abroad in 2026 as a way to give back while immersing myself in different cultures. It sounds like a fantastic way to travel while also doing something meaningful. I volunteered in Costa Rica a couple years back and it was really eye-opening. I found that smaller organizations often felt more genuine and personal compared to the big ones. For tips, definitely check reviews and chat with past volunteers before committing; it helped me a lot! Just make sure to consider how the programs are structured regarding costs and support, too.

For evaluating programs, I’d suggest looking for reviews from past volunteers or trying to connect with them directly. That helped me a ton!
