Choosing a Light Fitness Routine for Retirement

Deciding on a fitness routine during retirement can be daunting with so many choices available. How do you find what suits your lifestyle and goals? Some might prefer more vigorous activities like hiking or swimming, while others lean towards gentler options like yoga or tai chi. Finding what keeps you motivated and engaged is key.

It’s also worth considering how much time you want to invest in these activities. If you have hobbies and possibly part-time work to juggle, a routine that fits easily into your day could be beneficial. Have you discovered any particular classes or routines that you enjoy, or do you favor exercising alone?

What has your journey been like in striking the right balance? Are there specific exercises or practices you would suggest for others?

I’ve been liking low-impact workouts like water aerobics. It’s easy on the joints and super fun with a group. You get a good workout without feeling wiped out, plus chatting with others keeps me motivated!
