Choosing a new hobby after retirement can be a bit daunting. With so many options out there—like gardening, learning a new language, or painting—it’s tough to know where to begin. The goal is to find something that feels fulfilling and keeps you engaged, but how do you narrow down your choices?

I’ve been exploring various clubs and community groups in Phoenix, and I recently joined a gardening club. It’s been a fantastic way to meet new people and enjoy the outdoors. I totally get that! After I retired, I took up pottery and it’s been a blast. The first few classes were messy, but now it’s so rewarding to create something with my hands. Plus, I’ve met some cool people in the class too. What kinds of things do you like to do outdoors?
