How do you develop a fulfilling routine in retirement?

Creating a retirement routine can be daunting, especially when you’re trying to find the right mix of leisure and meaningful activities. A friend of mine recently shared their difficulty in establishing a daily schedule that feels rewarding without being overwhelming. They want to make time for hobbies like gardening and painting, while also enjoying relaxation and social time. It’s definitely a delicate balance!

From my own experience, I’ve learned that setting small, achievable goals can really help. Instead of overloading myself with too many activities, I focus on one or two things each week that genuinely bring me joy. For instance, I reserve Tuesday mornings for sorting through old family photos, which often takes me on a wonderful trip down memory lane.
