Top Retirement Spots in Each State According to Forbes 2021

Choosing the right place to retire can feel like a daunting task. Forbes released a list in 2021 highlighting the best retirement locations in each state. How many of you have visited these places or made them your home? Every state offers its unique appeal, but the realities of living there can vary widely.

What factors do these rankings consider—like cost of living, healthcare, or recreational activities? I’m curious if any of you have personal experiences in these recommended spots. What did you think? Did they meet your expectations, or did you find better alternatives elsewhere?

I would love to hear your insights and recommendations on these locations. What stood out to you, and why would you suggest them?

I checked out a few spots on that Forbes list, and I really liked Boise, Idaho. It’s got a decent cost of living, tons of outdoor stuff to do, and a friendly vibe. Definitely worth considering if you’re looking for a good balance of city and nature!

I’ve spent some time in Sarasota, Florida, and it definitely lived up to the hype for me. The beaches are amazing and the cost of living is pretty decent compared to other coastal areas. But honestly, the humidity can be a bit much during summer, so just be ready for that!
