I checked out a few spots on that Forbes list, and I really liked Boise, Idaho. It’s got a decent cost of living, tons of outdoor stuff to do, and a friendly vibe. Definitely worth considering if you’re looking for a good balance of city and nature!

I’ve spent some time in Sarasota, Florida, and it definitely lived up to the hype for me. The beaches are amazing and the cost of living is pretty decent compared to other coastal areas. But honestly, the humidity can be a bit much during summer, so just be ready for that!
